Love Stinks, LLC and Marabella Enterprises present in collaboration with the Greater Reading Alliance of Community Theatres (GRACT) and the Wyomissing Foundation, a workshop presentation of the original musical “Love Is Afoot!” on August 4th, 5th, 12th, and 13th 2023 at the Miller Center for the Arts at Reading Area Community College (RACC) in Reading, Pennsylvania.
“Love Is Afoot!” is a nostalgic nod to the Golden Era of 1940s–50s musicals, blending Gene Kelly/Fred Astaire-style charm with modern laugh-out-loud comedy and all of it swinging to a Big Band orchestra. Set in 1940s Reading, PA—a once-thriving textile hub—the story follows one man’s quest to find acceptance and his “sole-mate!”
