This August 2023, get ready for the most outrageous musical romantic comedy romp to come to around in a long time!
Join us for a night of love, laughs and good ole fashioned, toe-tappin’ music!
“Love Is Afoot!” is a throwback to the classic Gene Kelly/Fred Astaire musicals of the 1940s & 50s, the Golden Era of musicals, but done with a current comedic sensibility. The setting is 1940s, Reading, PA where the once, 3rd largest city in Pennsylvania, was a bustling textile town, filled with men and women, all seeking love, as they work their way toward the American dream.
We’re on our way to a full production, but before they get there, this staged workshop will help iron out the kinks and help gauge interest from prospective producers and investors.
So put your cares away for two hours, sit back, relax and escape into a musical that swims in silliness but still finds a way to share an important lessons of love, acceptance and hope.
